Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection

Came to Spokane for a wedding and was delighted to stay with family at the iconic Davenport Hotel. The hotel's downtown location bodes well for easy access to the river walk, area restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. However, the best meals and coffee I enjoyed in Spokane were at the Davenport. Rooms are comfortable nicely appointed. Valet service is exceptional and reasonably priced. Our only disappointment was with housekeeping, however once we checking with the front desk staff they offered a generous adjustment to our bill which compensated for the oversight. This historic property feels like stepping back in time while enjoying today's luxuries. Highly recommend!

What can I say other then WOW!! This place is BEAUTIFUL!! The rooms all have that old new feeling to them. The bed in our room was amazing!! Service was top notch! Starting here is like stepping into history with all the amazing architecture and atmosphere. The only thing I would say negative is it being in downtown spokane. It can be a little rough at night. However, if you ever get a chance to stay here, DO IT!!

Very nice historic hotel. We loved their spacious rooms and bathrooms. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and soaking on the hot tub on the basement floor. There is ice maker on every floor which is very convenient when you go during peak summer season. Valet parking was $35 whereas self parking is $28 but it's across the street in another parking garage structure. Our Ford Transit 15 passenger rental van didn't fit inside the self parking garage so we used valet. I think the parking garage clearance is 6'7" For the price difference though, it would probably have been more worth it to use the valet service because no one would have needed to cross the street, though the valet guys would have let us drop off the passengers and luggage in front.

My husband and I stopped at the bar because of a recommendation from the visitor center in downtown. I ordered a whisky sour and my husband ordered a Manhattan. Both were made correctly and were delicious. We received great service and the ambiance took you back to another era. Totally worth checking out even if you aren't staying at the hotel...which also looks amazing.
